STORY IWE2.1 Worldwide ENTREPRENEUR - INNOVATING BEYOND MONOPOLIES SPUN WHEN ECONOMISTS HIRED BY BIG POWERFUL MEN TO RULE OVER PLACES PEOPLES

The french word entrepreneur was conceived around 1800 in dialogues with alumni of scot adam smith, from 1843 it was mediated by a scot James Wilson who came to london so scak vested interest MPOS and founded The Economist- in the 1700s scots and french had lots of fears; England had colonised scotland and its dark side of Britannia ruling the waves was evident in unhealthy pursuits such as slave trade, france found all productive assets being monoplised by 0.1% of ruchest people whose heads it cut off. QUESTION couldnt Europe do better. This the debating concept of entrepreneur was coined by JB Say to ask could Europeans co-creayes places ropund quest for liberty, egalite, fratenite? -fast forward 100 years and dismally europe remained stuck at epicentre of world wars- what were these wars caused by 1) arrogant old men 2) very poor information flows -@1900 horses were still main way to send messages although rail where it existed could be part of overlad commns solution; 3 because industrial age growth depend on extracting carbon and steel- if your fast growing country ran out you either took it from a colony or you went to war

China was happiest mediator of win-win world gtrade routes (SILK ROAD from asia to europe) for much of millennium 2. Something big stirred intergenerational chnage for around 1500 - basically humans sailing out of the Med Sea discovered there were sea routes to China (and all ports East) and not just land routes. Inititally this was great but then part of the English Empire started demanding China trade its opium drug. Soon china decided to woithdraw from world trade and walled itself in. So what ahd been the milennous largest trading nation - and goodwill connector of civilisations disappeared from global view amd parts of it mainland got taken over by Japan until that clountry lost the 2nd world war. Unfortunaltely winers of world war 2 had what they though were 2 totally opposite ideologies - capitalism and communism (the reality is both become the same broken system when they value big decsion-makers getting bigger to the exclusion of the peoples as entrepreneurs). The bad and the good news is that China's big get biger communism starved ovr 40 million p[eople in the ear;ly 1960s- from that second on China chnaged - it started with agrarian keynsianims in the 1960s ; by the mod 1970s the chinese dias[pora was 3rd richest finaciers on earlth (after US and Japan0; they wer5e invited to inwardly invest in china's infrastucture and tecchnologies- wo it was that 1976-2016 saw chiense capitaliosm race to grwo a billion people out of poverty and to having entrepreneurial opportunities with life. Mao may have been ruthless in ordering this transition but he also valued the most exciting slogan - women hold up half the sky. This China emered not only as te world's biggest nation but the first in east or west with a cul;ture determined to end treating womens ;lives as second to mens lives. If you want to read how Scottish Diaspora celebrated this good news - read Norman Macrae's 1977 report in The Economist. The winers of world war 1 comitted the tragic mistake of tring to punish 9imprison the livelihods) of the peopels they had beaten in some cases transfering sovereignty of lands in culturally random ways. This made world war 2 inevitable nd by this tie technolgy had sadly advanced to bring us to the brink of nuclear destruction. So this time the western winers did extraordinary things- they launched well meaning concepts without any testing of how they could work- the UN, the euroepan union, the woerld bank the national health and pension service in many countries; they appear to have designed these huge systems with no mediation thropugh to intergeneratioanl consequences-  to deleiver the social needs of those who had returned to war,- mkoney was no object- politicians could always print more - the unseen risk was that future generations would have to bail out every social service that failed to continuoisly improve - and to embrace tech chnage as the way to do that. Worse in te west tv mass media spiralled - whether it was 100% comercial usa or mainly public eg UK - it censired any discussion of next generation sustainability. These are some of te braod brish strokes as to why the West stopped grwoing better futuers for its next generations (while also being preoccupied with propogating fears such as nuclear war). If you look for the happeist stoiries of human development in secknd half of teh 209th C they come from the east - japan, korea (S), (both generously freed by USA) then suoerports inthe region whose trading brilliance was led by chejinse expatriates- this stes the stage for Chian being the ountry of over half a bilion under 30s who want to map sustainabiliuty livelihoods for all worldwide youth. But there is one more expoential dynamic that really is global not led by any nation- this is since 1946 the world has been doubling money and time every 7 yeasr spent on learning communication technolgies and so the opportunity for colaboration entreprenurs to network- will such extraordinary borderless partenrshiops come to ;ife critical service markets such as health, lovcal credit, clen enrgy, food and personal security, and above all jobs-rich education. This is an opportunity far bigger than 1500 renaissnacs as the oceans opened up worldwide navigation, far greater tha nthat periods discovery of the printing press. But such mediation opportunities spiral either postively of negaitively - not anywhere in between. Literally if you afre alive today you are contributing to whether lours poecies survuves. The world should want to help heroes such as Xi Jinping assuming our valuetrue hypothesis is correct - keep searching from maps that sustain your next generation;s livelihoods while doing no harm to any other youth, espoecialy no hatm to the poorest girls wgerever they are born
