As yet it is only the far east @BR1 that seems to have maps of superports and overland belts that have transformed beyond the barriers that tye colonial age spun-

  • BELTS (COASTAL_)=there is nowhere in the world today which should not be empowering its next generations (and sustainability economic zones) if it joined in transparently  mapping ports (locations and ownership rules) because that how 90% of world trade is shipped-
  • ROADS continent wide grids (railways , energy and water pipes, tech cable as the way tehse are designed explains the world's worst poverty traps and often places where peoples have become overwhelmed nyu wars that hiosti9rfy has spun and which youtgh become the bigegst losers from

Since the moon landing the worldwide's most excitiong policy debate has revolved round which places will increase their valuation of women's livelihoods the most
Because of depressing history of how the west (mainly Englsh speaking peoples) colonised (1500-1946) the east (where two thirds of humans live anyway) it was always going to be
essential to survival of our species' webs to celebrate peoples in the east whose communities most raised the value of women across generations not 90 day monetisation games

Bangladesh in #BR2 stands out as the ultimate development lab around the very poorest women; china #BR0n it hdiscovered from the Diaspora that when it as mapped its infastructire well
it was possible to free women to hold up half the sky (and so China's girls and boys now dream of  21st C gift to humanity : helping linkin 13 mapmakers across hemispheres (see idea below)

By all means tell us of places that have spent 49 years netwirking round womens (or more accurately) parnetial community purposes

A British economist, journalist and author, considered by some to have been one of the world's best forecasters when it came to economics and society. These forecasts mapped back to system designs mediated so that readers and entrepreneurial networks could exponentially calibrate shared alternative scenarios. He joined The Economist in 1949 and retired as its deputy chief editor in 1988. He foresaw the Pacific century, the reversal of nationalization of enterprises, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the spread of the internet, which were all published in the newspaper during his time there. Not to get bored, his first ten years in retirement produced the biography of Johnny Von Neumann (the mathematical father of computers and networks), a column for the UK Sunday Times, and a 'Heresy Column' for Fortune. He was the father of mathematician, marketing commentator, and author Chris Macrae. Their joint future history on death of distance in 1984 forecast that 2005-2015 would be humanity's most critical decade irreversibly impacting sustainability. In 1984, he wrote "The 2024 Report: a future history of the next 40 years". It was the first book to: provide readers with a brainstorming journey of what people in an internetworking world might do, and predict that a new economy would emerge with revolutionary new productivity and social benefits enjoyed by all who interacted in a net-connected world. In this book, he wrote: "Eventually books, files, television programmes, computer information and telecommunications will merge. We'll have this portable object which is a television screen with first a typewriter, later a voice activator attached. Afterwards it will be miniaturised so that your personal access instrument can be carried in your buttonhole, but there will be these cheap terminals around everywhere, more widely than teleph : Ideology of Belt Road Imagineering

Youth and , elders who teach them, need to freely share top 13 viewpoints of continents" Roads and Ocean's Belts. Start by asking Ocean Belt's number 1 question: do our peoples (enterprising however small) have shared access to well located ports?- Why ask this first?  Because 90% of physical world trade is shipped, alongside 100% of Digital value being cooperatively webbed!  Next those who value Mother Earth come to Continental Landmasses number 1 question whick is about mapping overland grids ("Roads") -are railroads, cables, energy and waste pipes wholly and truly and lovingly linking continental youth to sustainablity goals' livelihoods.Sadly 500 years of colonisation became (however subconsciously) an era of more and more cultures hating youth and especially girls- the more mistakes elder men made the more big nations sent youth to wars ulimately 2 world wars. Note another future shocking idea: understanding unique interactions with mother earth's abundance matters- eg 8 nations including Russia #BR3 and USA#BR6 share the Arctic Belt@BR11 - the world's leading green (in UK celebrated by Prince Charles - ashden webs) journalists expect this to be absolutely critical to every human race linking energy, waste and youth thriving out of every community

We have started with 13 viewpoints because they offer such diverse interactions (we welcome more detailed mapping suggestions)

Can remittances buy happiness for family members left behind?

Dire Numbers, Despite Progress

In 2017, a child under age 15 died every 5 seconds, according to new UN estimates. The vast majority of these 6.3 million deaths were children under 5, most of them from preventable and treatable causes like pneumonia and malaria.

The report found that babies born in sub-Saharan Africa or Southern Asia were 9X times more likely to die in the first month than those born in wealthy countries.

The report also noted considerable progress against child mortality in recent decades; deaths of under-5s dropped from 12.6 million in 1990 to 5.4 million in 2017. While the chances of survival have increased for all age groups since 2000, progress was uneven, and “millions are still dying because of who they are and where they are born,” says UNICEF’s Laurence Chandy.

Reducing Poverty in Africa Should Be #1 Priority

The world’s population is growing the fastest in the world’s poorest countries, threatening decades of progress fighting poverty and disease, according to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeeper’s report that is coming out today.
Investing in health and education in Africa could be a game-changer that could lift sub-Sahara Africa’s economy by roughly 90% by 2050 according to the update, an annual spotlight on the Sustainable Development Goals—but development aid from rich countries has been lackluster.
Underscoring the success of poverty reduction efforts in China and India, the Gates urge the world to make poverty reduction in Africa the global priority for the next 3 decades.

Leaving Paris Without Saying Goodbye

Climate scientists say Australia has effectively left the Paris climate pact by abandoning a plan to slash greenhouse gas emissions.

“They’ve walked away from Paris without saying it, hoping no one would notice,” says Lesley Hughes, a climate-change scientist at Macquarie University in Sydney. The backout came after an upheaval in the country’s ruling conservative Liberal Party over a policy that would have imposed emissions targets on electricity companies; Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he would instead focus on cutting energy costs.

Australia’s upcoming national election could see the tide turn—the Labor party has pledged to slash emissions 45% by 2030, though it’s yet to lay out a plan.

Senate Passes Opioid Bill—Does it Pass Muster?

A sweeping new opioid bill passed the US Senate Monday, which would target illicit fentanyl trafficking and expand telemedicine prescriptions for buprenorphine and methadone, currently limited by in-person prescription rules. It would also give the DEA more power to slash controlled substance manufacturing.
With its “limited but commonsense steps” for addiction treatment and prevention, the Senate package received bipartisan support and remained relatively uncontroversial compared to the House version, and several policy points are still in play.
Does it pass muster? Senators seeking re-election say yes; while advocates for more robust substance use treatment disagree, reports Lev Facher.

Don’t Skimp on Safety Gear

Found a great deal on a bike helmet online? Chances are good it’s a fake.

Fake helmets cheaply distributed via e-commerce sites can’t protect you from the kinds of catastrophic accidents that lead to skull fracture, brain damage or death. They sometimes appear flimsier but fakes can be hard to spot. One giveaway: they lack authenticating stickers from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

US Customs sees everything from counterfeit car air bags to medications rolling into the country from e-commerce sites. To avoid them, “buy from legitimate outlets, whether it’s in-person or online,” says William Ross of Homeland Security.
