Leapfrogging can be defined as when hundreds of millions of people are connected by a system that is at least 10 times more efiicient, effective,  sustainable of human livelihoods

By 1984 the first fieldbook opposing the Orwellian view of the outcome of the millennial networking generation was published

Back in 1972 The Economist started the curriculum of Entrepreneurual Revolution to mediate the generation which enjoyed more leapfrogging worldwide than any other - today's net generation

Before we look at opportunities of leapfrogging - note the risks

-an old infrastructure - and all the ways of doing jobs it involved - is likely to be completely replaced - the socail consequences of this may be a "war" between elders who aim to block the leapfrooging and the next generation; moreover the people who were richest or most powerful under the old system are likely to partner each other and lobby politicains especially if thise politicains are ,mainly elected by elders and not the next generation

What is crictial is that any  place that has been developed around the old infrastructurehas enough public media to celebrate the opportunities of leapfrofgging . Note how leapfroging's greatest experiments tend to begin in places that were so poor or undeveloped that large numbers of people had no access to the pre-digital way of doing things

PARTNERS WITH WORLDS POOREST ARE BECOMING SOME OF WORLD'S GREATEST INNOVATION SPACE

cashless banking leapfrogging as banking for the next billion

clean solar energy as leapfrogging in places where people had no access to energy grids

TAKE A SECOND LOOK AT THIS THE CRISIS OF OPPORTUNITY & RISK

Ultimately educators have a huge role to play. If they are wholly and truly on the side of children they will help them celebrate the dvance of leapfrogging even as leapfrogging's open learning campus will require almost all educators to change the practice skills and processes of their livelihoods

......................................................................................................... 30 years on -why free nursing college may be collaboration laepfrogging greatest case of all - returning accessible economical healthcare to all

Back in 1984 my father quizzed readers of The Economist - not only how can we make healthcare 8 times less mostly, but what will happen to the fiirt net generation if this biggest market continues getting exponentially more expensive? nNations' banks would fail if next generations are left to bailout debt caused by too costly bills and pensions of elders (and their ever increasing percentage of western populations)

So yes we are biassed but we are sarching for every clue on who wishes to join in mapping THE NEARLY FREE NURSING COLLEGE

My hobby is open learning networks though that started out as my job in 1973!; my professional competence is as a statistician of World Record Book of Job Creators and cataloguing millennial groups especially medical ones such as ypchronic-

Young Professionals Chronic Disease Network: YP-CDN

ypchronic.org/ -A global movement for action against the injustice of non-communicable diseases

Back in 2008, my father's foundation  helped sponsor a scottish dialogue around muhammad yunus- a consequence of which is nearly free nursing collegs- we believe that can create 100 million jobs as well as make basic health services and telemedicine etc affordable- the person in glasgow who first conceived this idea is zasheem ahmed- and if scotland goes independent in Fall 2014 we will mobilise every connection we can to make this a major open source export of scotland

there are several // worldwide girl impact pathways towards Uniting Free Nursing Colleges which I try to map and update and always welcome more info

1 scotand started  on this because our colleges train probably majority of nhs nurses born in uk; and if a scottish bbc emerges well you can see how the royal family supported nurses at the opening of the uk olympics!
1a muhammad yunus made a quick start at a nearly free  nursing college but he has got swamped in local politics -this is a pity because his number 1 tech partnber intel had wanted to help with emedicine

2 free medical training/peer to peer education has become khan academy's number 2 practice focus after maths

I have several close friends in bangladesh around sir fazle abed of BRAC - he wants to find the right way to get involved; I was lucky enough to attend 20th open society awards of sir fazle by george soros in 2012 where I got the privilege to chat to paul farmer and find out about his training hospital in haiti- he said open sourcing their knowhow would be a next step

3 in washington dc womens technologists like naila chowdhury of www.women4empowerment.org also stage a free healthcheck day for about 3000 poorest families; the founder of dc's globalfund carrie rich also come from a carreer in community health ; naila's partnerships with nanocredit may become one of the most life critical networks connecting hispanic womens across the americas if suitable partnerships come together; while bangladesh microcredit always had womens health networking as its core, previously hispanic microcredit networks seem to have largely missed that opportunity

3a because I live in washington dc, I chat about these sorts of subjects as often as I can with world bank young professional associates- while I have never met jim kim I assume that he would not be against the free nursing college idea; I have a meeting with some of the managers of the world bank's new open elearning campus at end of next week where I will try to find out what there view is on nursing content- also our ethiopian diaspora as biggest african one in DC owns the africa's elearning sattelite service www.yazmi.com - since this was motivated over 20 years ago as way to share life critical info to minimise eg aids, I assume freeing as much health learning as possible will be prime time

I am in touch with 2 absolutely brilliant medical postgraduates from japan -part of the university of tokyo global leadership class of medical millennials who can change the world -one will soon be on internship in toronto as she couldnt find appropriate internship in boston ; the other is already in geneva; if you know of anyone they shlould be introduced to pelase say
NEXT SEARCH
new york with 48 hours of meetings 22 and 23 september - if you or associates are going to be there please say, and I can try and match connections

In  boston to chat about these and other things accompanied by world leading open technologists empowering women-

2001 to commencement students of brown browncommencement.pdf, 83 KB

your patients deserve fierce loyalty and the best you can offer. That’s what medicine could be about, should be about, must be about. The harder questions are about who gets to become a patient. I mean your patient, because everyone is a patient eventually. But who has ready access to the best that medicine has to offer, much of it based on relatively recently developed technologies and all of it available— providentially, it would seem— right here (at Brown U)? Certainly not those who need it most. The irony, now, is the best that medicine has to offer keeps getting better— thanks in large part to the health sciences also represented here today. The big leap forward that physics made

a century ago is now happening in medicine. That’s good news. The bad news is that unless we make equity our watchword, we become party to a process that promises to reserve its finest care or those who need it least, leaving billions of sick people without decent medical care.
